Annual Safety Review 2026

ASR 2026 cover

The EASA Annual Safety Review (ASR) 2026 provides an overview of aviation safety in Europe in 2025 and compares the results with the previous 10 years. It analyses accidents, serious incidents and the main safety risks across all aviation domains and specifically within the different aviation domains (meaning aeroplanes, helicopters, balloons, sailplanes, unmanned aircraft systems, aerodromes and ground handling, and air traffic management / Air navigation services. It also provides an overview of the Agency’s standardisation activities and their key outcomes relevant for safety risk management.

The review provides an important data-driven input to the European Safety Risk Management (SRM) process and the European Plan for Aviation Safety (EPAS) and helps identify EASA’s Top Safety Topics (TSTs). Together, the ASR, the TSTs and the EPAS connect safety data and analysis with practical action to reduce risk.

The full report is accompanied by a new six-page summary, providing an accessible overview of the headline figures of accidents and serious incidents and leading safety within each operational domain.
