Study visit of Ukrainian and Azerbaijani aerodrome inspectors conducted as a part of the Eastern Partnership project funded by the European Union and implemented byEASA was kindly hosted from 13 to 17 April 2026 by Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego.
Over five days best practices in aerodrome operations and ground handling oversight were presented, also during a field trip to Olsztyn-Mazury Airport.
The following topics were presented and discussed:
- Aerodrome certification and oversight
- Aerodrome infrastructure, with focus on aerodrome lightning systems.
- Obstacle management within and in the vicinity of the aerodrome, including aeronautical studies
- Inspection of aerodrome operator’s SMS
- Ground handling, including market access
- Rescue and firefighting systems
- Training of inspectors
- Information security rules.
The Eastern Partnership project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
