The EU-Asia Aviation Partnership Project: South Asia has taken off  — funded by the European Union and building on the legacy of the EU–South Asia Aviation Partnership Project.

We began this new phase with a successful inception workshop in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where aviation authorities and leaders from across South Asia and Europe came together to:

  • Define regional priorities for aviation cooperation
  • Strengthen safety and sustainability
  • Build capacity through training and knowledge-sharing
  • Advance regulatory harmonisation and technological innovation

The outcomes of this workshop will shape our workplan for the coming years, helping to build a safer, greener, and more connected aviation system.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners — CAA Bangladesh, CAA Bhutan, CAA Sri Lanka, CAA Maldives, DGCA India, Pakistan CAA, and CAA Nepal — for their strong engagement. Your contributions are key to making this cooperation a success.
