From 20 to 22 August 2025 Yngvi Yngvason facilitated a regional workshop on the European Risk Classification Scheme (ERCS) – a key instrument for assessing and managing risks in aviation safety, reiterating the importance of strengthening national safety capacities and aligning with European practices.
The event agenda included topics such as:
- Introduction to EASA safety intelligence
- Fundamentals of the European Risk Classification Scheme
- The scheme’s development process and applicable European legal framework
- Incident classification methodology and key risk areas
Participants, representing civil aviation authorities from Eastern Partnership states, took part in interactive sessions designed to support the effective implementation of risk prevention and control mechanisms in civil aviation.
