The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova hosted, on February 24–25, the Workshop dedicated to the implementation of the ReFuelEU Aviation regulation, bringing together experts from EASA, DG MOVE, as well as representatives of the aeronautical authorities from Ukraine and Georgia. The EASA experts on the spot were Joonas Laukia and Martina Di Palma.
📌 The event aimed to clarify the requirements of the Regulation and to analyze the practical challenges of implementation. For the Republic of Moldova, this regulatory framework represents a strategic step towards integration into the European aviation system, alignment with the European Union’s climate objectives, and the consolidation of a sustainable aeronautical sector.
🤝 The Workshop highlighted the need for close interinstitutional cooperation, involving the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environment, ANRE, as well as representatives of the aeronautical industry in the Republic of Moldova, in order to ensure coordinated and efficient transposition.
The Eastern Partnership project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
