Follow-up EASA project supports integration of Western Balkans, Turkey

EASA has launched the implementation of the EASA IPA 4 programme, a technical cooperation project supporting the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia) and Turkey. The two-year project is financed by the EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and aims at assisting the countries’ integration into the EU aviation system. Its cooperation activities will focus on three areas covering safety management, safety analysis and occurrence reporting, as well as competence development. The IPA 4 programme builds upon the excellent record of cooperation between EASA and the partner countries and previous EU-financed, EASA-managed projects in the region.
