EASA has issued AD 2026-0134 for certain A320 family aeroplanes, which was previously published for public consultation as PAD 26-050, and which supersedes Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) 2025-0268-E.
The EAD was issued on November 28, 2025 to address a susceptibility introduced by a software update in one of its onboard computers. It addressed an issue which manifested itself in an event on JetBlue flight 1230 on October 30, 2025.
The superseding AD (2026-0134) provides clarifications and offers alternative methods of compliance to address that issue.
