The EASA Sustainability Portal is a digital platform
designed to streamline and simplify reporting for the ReFuelEU Aviation and the Flight Emissions Label. It provides a centralised, secure, and user-friendly environment that enhances collaboration through automated data validation and structured collaboration.
The Portal was recently improved in look and functionalities to best meet the need of its users. These enhancements include:
- Improved data reporting: the data submission process has been enhanced with new functionalities to manage both data reporting (ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation – Article 8) with automated data checks and the justification process for the refuelling obligation (ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation – Article 5.2) in two separate tracks.
- Verifier: verifier organisations will now be part of the portal. This allows aircraft operators to assign a verifier directly to their data submission and enables verifiers to use the portal's automated data checks.
- News: a new central place for all important updates and news items, keeping all users informed of ongoing changes.
- Contacts: a new “contact role” to keep stakeholders informed without requiring a user account.
- Refreshed knowledge base: improved support area to make navigation easier, and numerous articles have been updated to introduce the new functionalities and align with the new interface.
- Improved interface: clearer visual guidance, improved menus, and focus on the task at hand by hiding irrelevant features. Besides making the portal more efficient to use it also makes it future-proof for adding new functionalities, such as the Flight Emissions Label.
The EASA Sustainability Portal is an invitation-only platform for key stakeholders, including the European Commission, EASA, Competent Authorities and Aircraft Operators and, now, Verifiers. It was launched in 2024 and counts with more than 1000 users. It is an important tool for reporting obligations under the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation: it was used by over 270 aircraft operators to report ReFuelEU Aviation data to their Competent Authorities. This data was used in the first ReFuelEU Aviation Annual Technical Report.
