EASA co-chaired the annual International Maintenance Review Board Policy Board meeting (IMRBPB) which took place in Ottawa, Canada from April 28 to May 02, 2014.
The IMRBPB aims at developing higher maintenance standards and improving safety in maintenance aspects. It allows harmonization between authorities and ensures a common approach. At the meeting, various improvements have been agreed, among which the update of the Maintenance Programme Development tool MSG-3 and associated Maintenance Review Board processes.
9 regulating bodies and 20 manufacturers representing worldwide aeronautics manufacturing countries attended the meeting.
