From rules to reality: accelerating Innovative Air Mobility in Europe
The updated agenda, including details of the key speakers, is now available for the 2026 EASA Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) Implementation Forum, taking place at EASA in Cologne on 27–28 October 2026.
Two years after the first IAM Implementation Forum, the conversation has moved forward. Europe now has more experience of putting the regulatory framework into practice, new technologies and services are progressing towards operation, and we are learning more about what works – and where challenges remain.
Under the theme “From rules to reality: accelerating Innovative Air Mobility in Europe”, this year's Forum will bring the IAM community together to focus on the next stage: turning the regulatory framework into safe, scalable operations.
From implementation to operation
The two-day programme is structured around three key areas – U-space, VTOL and UAS – combining panels, workshops and interactive discussions.
The programme will explore some of the practical questions facing the sector today: How can U-space implementation be simplified? What is needed to support eVTOL entry into service? How can cross-border UAS operations be enabled? How will increasing automation affect operations and safety? And what can we learn from organisations already putting the regulatory framework into practice?
Just as importantly, the Forum provides an opportunity for industry, authorities and other stakeholders to share their experience directly with EASA, helping us understand where implementation is working well and where further support, clarification or adaptation may be needed.
Why attend?
The IAM Implementation Forum is designed to be a place to discuss, challenge, learn and help shape what comes next.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Help shape the next stage of IAM in Europe – Understand where Europe stands today, discuss the challenges ahead and contribute to the priorities for scaling safe IAM operations over the coming years.
- Learn from implementation experience – Explore practical experience with U-space, BVLOS operations, drone services and eVTOL certification and entry into service, including the lessons already emerging from implementation.
- Connect across the IAM ecosystem – Meet authorities, operators, manufacturers, technical experts and other members of the IAM community, exchange experience and strengthen the collaboration needed to enable operations across Europe.
Speakers and panellists from industry, national authorities, technical organisations, community representatives and EASA will bring different perspectives to the discussions, with interaction and exchange at the centre of the two-day programme.
The agenda is now available. Register now.
