EASA General Aviation Engine Workshop on 04/11/2026, 8:30 - 17:45 CET (UTC +1)
EASA General Aviation Propeller Workshop on 05/11/2026, 8:30 - 17:45 CET (UTC +1)
Description
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will host the Propulsion and Integration Workshops for General Aviation Engine and Propeller Manufacturers at EASA Headquarters in Cologne, Germany.
The workshops will bring together EASA, National Aviation Authorities (NAAs), and relevant industry stakeholders to exchange views on current and future certification challenges affecting general aviation propulsion.
Workshop objectives
The workshops will provide a forum to:
- Share EASA’s understanding of the FAA MOSAIC certification rules, which entered into force on 24 July 2026.
- Discuss Installation Manual content and requirements.
- Discuss current and emerging certification issues for general aviation engines and propellers.
- Identify areas of concern, interest, or potential clarification within the propulsion certification domain.
- Exchange experience, questions, and proposals of common interest between industry and authorities.
The workshops are intended to provide an open forum for EASA, NAAs, and industry to exchange views.
Participants are encouraged to submit proposals, questions, and topics for discussion in advance. Contributions may address, among other subjects, new technologies, integration of propulsion systems, certification boundaries, and the definition of responsibilities between the different parties involved in the design and certification of propulsion systems.
Participation and registration
Attendance will be by EASA invitation only (no registration possible).
This event includes two one-day workshops:
EASA General Aviation Engine Workshop on 4 November 2026 from 8:30 to 17:45
EASA General Aviation Propeller Workshop on 5 November 2026 from 9:00 to 15:45
