Description
EASA’s Annual Safety Conference has a long standing tradition, every year addressing a different safety topic. The 2016 EASA Safety Conference focuses on Future Technologies and Innovative Business Models.
The conference will cover technological changes in all aviation domains, including aircraft manufacturing, aircraft operations and Air Traffic Management. Among the discussion topics are unmanned air systems (drones), 3D printed parts, cybersecurity, remote towers and new business models such as ‘flight-sharing’ apps. The aim is to discuss the new technologies, their impact on safety regulation and the pressure for change they exert on industry and regulators. The discussion panels will provide a forum for fruitful exchange of views and ideas, with the participation of a varied group of senior speakers drawn from all areas of aviation including regulators, airlines, manufacturers, ATM and industry associations.
This year’s Conference is taking place in Bratislava, Slovakia, coinciding with the country’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The registration fee includes lunch and coffee breaks on both days of the Conference.

Cancellations and Refund Policy
Substitutions and cancellations can be made until 10 October 2016. Please notify us as soon as possible at events [at] easa.europa.eu (events[at]easa[dot]europa[dot]eu). Cancellations of an accepted registration must be made in writing to events [at] easa.europa.eu (events[at]easa[dot]europa[dot]eu) and will incur into a 25% non-refundable administrative fee per cancelled registration. Delegates who request a cancellation on or after 11 October 2016 or delegates who fail to attend without prior notice are liable for the full attendance fee. Refunds of fees will be made upon notification but may take up to 60 days. The attendance fee will not be prorated should delegates not attend the entire conference.
Accommodation
EASA has reserved a room block from 24 – 26 October 2016 for the conference participants at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Bratislava. The room rate is 119,00 € for a single and 139,00 € for a double room. Rate is including American breakfast, internet connection, access to the fitness centre and swimming pool and all applicable taxes (city tax, VAT).

Accommodation cancellation policy:
- Cancellation until 24.9.2016 is free of charge
- Cancellation between 25.9. - 10.10. are subject 1 night cancellation fee
- Cancellation after 11.10.2016 or no shows are subject to 100% cancellation fee (full length of stay)
