CAPSCA EUR-MID/11 Meeting

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has the honour to host the Joint Meeting of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Europe and North Atlantic Regional Office together with the ICAO Middle East Regional Office for the Collaborative Arrangement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation (CAPSCA EUR/MID/11) in the EASA Headquarters in Cologne, Germany from 25 to 26 April 2024.

The Meeting aims to provide the opportunity to enhance further collaboration amongst stakeholders, including public health authorities, to strengthen ICAO State’s arrangements for public health events preparedness planning, to mitigate the risks that can affect human health and disrupt aviation. The Meeting will be conducted by ICAO in close coordination and collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), EASA, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and other CAPSCA partners. The invitations and nomination forms have been distributed by ICAO.

The EUR-MID CAPSCA/11 Meeting is organised as an in-person event for better interactive discussions. It is highly recommended that the delegations to the CAPSCA Meeting will include Aviation Medical Examiners and experts from the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authorities and Public Health Authorities, Airport and Airline representatives, and other Stakeholders, as relevant, who have interest in participating. Participants are encouraged to engage actively by sharing experiences that will benefit States/Administrations and the CAPSCA Programme in future public health events preparedness planning.
