Description
The aim of the Conference is to update the aviation community on the implementation of the Agency’s Action Plan with regards to the follow-up of the Germanwings Flight 9525 accident, and discuss in detail the concrete regulatory proposals the Agency will issue in the second half of 2016.
Central part of this Action Plan is a continuous dialogue with stakeholders. This Conference is a further important step in this process, following the “Aircrew Medical Fitness Workshop” in December 2015 and the subsequent consultation with the Agency’s Advisory Bodies on concept papers prepared by the Agency in the beginning of this year.
Taking into account the results of these and other consultation steps, including the survey on the “2-persons-in-the-cockpit” recommendation, the Agency will present its proposed regulatory changes and other measures. The agenda has been structured so as to allow maximum interaction and input from the Conference participants on the Agency proposals.
