Description
EASA will host the 3rd Aeronautical Information Management Regulator’s meeting co-organised by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and EASA. The meeting will take place at the EASA’s offices located at Avenue de Cortenbergh 100, B-1040, Brussels, Belgium, from 24 to 26 September. Recognising that Air traffic management is increasingly data and information dependent, and is demanding the delivery of ever higher-quality operational information and informed collaborative decision making, representatives from FAA, ICAO, National Aviation Authorities and EASA will exchange their experiences and initiatives in Europe, US and worldwide, as well as determine future challenges and considerations.
The discussions, co-chaired by FAA and EASA, will focus on the AIM regulatory and safety aspects. As such, ICAO will stress the importance of the quality and safety management in the current times. Regulatory and oversight initiatives will be presented by FAA, NAAs and EASA. This meeting is expected to progress with the establishment of the global regulatory needs for the safe, efficient and cost effective use of aeronautical information, including best practices, standards, performance metrics and the frameworks necessary to raise the level of visibility and the quality of aeronautical information and related services.
