"Gender Equality in Aviation"

Short video contest and prize for Southeast Asian students and apprentices

Bridging the gap: Young Voices for Gender Equality in Aviation

Across Southeast Asia, as in many parts of the world, women and other gender identities remain underrepresented in numerous areas of aviation, from technical positions to leadership roles.

Despite recent regional progress toward greater equality, barriers persist that limit women and other genders’ attraction to, participation in, and advancement within the sector.

Aviation needs greater gender equality if it is to reach its full potential and reflect the diversity of the society it serves.
And nobody understands this better than today’s youth. Their voices can help make it happen.

To bridge this gap, the EU-ASEAN SCOPE-APP Project funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), in collaboration with the ICAO Asia and Pacific (APAC) Regional Office, is launching the Gender Equality in Aviation short video contest in Southeast Asian region.
