Information received during an FAA suspected unapproved parts investigation revealed that, HID Country, 3333 North Washington Blvd, Sarasota, Florida, sold unapproved seat belt extenders, Seat Belt Extender- model A and model B without FAA production approval. It was found that these Airplane Seat Belt Extenders were not manufactured and tested to the necessary standards required for use on U.S. type certificated aircraft.
