Information received during an FAA suspected unapproved parts investigation (SUP) revealed that between April 27, 2005 and January 30, 2012, Aircraft Interior Design, Inc., 2659 Nova Drive, Dallas, TX 75229, produced 40 crew seat back covers under owner/operator, provisions of 14 (CFR) 21.303(b)(2). On August 11, 2005, 13 of the crew seat back covers were sold to one customer and the remaining 27 crew seat back covers cannot be accounted
for. The manufacturing company has closed and the Fort Worth MIDO cannot locate the owners to verify the records.
