During the course of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) audit of Superior Air Parts, Inc., located at 621 South Royal Lane, Suite 100, Coppell, Texas, an FAA inspector discovered that crankshaft bearings, part number SL14105A M03 were sold without FAA production approval. These crankshaft bearings were marked “FAA-PMA” along with the part number. Sales of this part occurred before the new Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 21 became effective on April 16, 2011.
