The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has published the referenced UPN (attached as pages 2 through 4 of this SIB) as a result of an investigation that revealed that certain stainless steel and special nickel alloy tubes may not have been adequately processed and tested, a situation which can affect the service life on critical and non-critical aeronautical products and aircraft parts.
