Information received during a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suspected unapproved parts investigation revealed that between January 2005 and February 2008, Mid Continent Aircraft Corp. (Mid Continent) located at 1601 Highway 84 East, Hayti, Missouri 63851, produced parts for sale without having the required FAA approvals. Mid Continent holds FAA Air Agency Certificate No. DFQR172R.
Evidence indicates that Mid Continent produced and sold aircraft parts without having a FAA Parts Manufacturing Authorization (PMA). Some of these parts were sold in a kit advertised by Mid Continent as the “Load Hawg” kit.
