Information received during a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suspected unapproved parts investigation revealed that between July 2005 and July 2007 Stevens Aviation, Inc., located at 3500 Hangar Drive, Vandalia, OH 45377, improperly repaired or overhauled and approved for return to service various electronic controllers. Stevens Aviation, Inc., holds FAA Air Agency Certificate No. VIB4368K. Evidence indicates Stevens Aviation, Inc., approved electronic controllers for return to service that were not repaired or overhauled in accordance with the methods, techniques, and practices
prescribed in the current manufacturer’s maintenance manuals. Stevens Aviation Inc., has attempted to notify its customers through recall letters; however, some of the electronic controllers could not be located.
