The detailed technical specifications DS‑21LD provide design standards that are applicable to aircraft subject to declarations in accordance with Annex Ib (Part 21 Light) to Regulation (EU) No 748/2012.
The objective of this rulemaking task is to regularly amend the ED Decision 2023/022/R to address miscellaneous issues of non-controversial nature to ensure that the detailed technical specifications in DS‑21LD are fit for purpose, cost-effective and can be implemented in practice.
In particular, the intent of the regular update is to keep DS-21LD up to date with new technological and market developments, to incorporate lessons learned and to update the references included in DS‑21LD, and to address non‑complex and non‑controversial issues raised by the stakeholders.
