AMC & GM to Part-FCL — Issue 1, Amendment 14
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, gyroplanes with a maximum take-off mass of more than 600 kg or with more than two seats fall within the scope of the common European rules in the field of civil aviation. Appropriate European rules for the operation of such gyroplanes are addressed by Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2025/133 and (EU) 2025/134 of 28 January 2025. These Decisions supports the implementation of these implementing regulations.
To this end, these Decisions amend ED Decisions 2012/015/R (GM to Definitions), 2014/016/R (AMC and GM to Part-NCO), 2011/016/R (AMC and GM to Part-FCL) and 2012/006/R (AMC and GM to Part-ARA) to facilitate compliance with the requirements regarding flight crew licensing for gyroplanes (in particular, pilot training) and regarding non-commercial operations of gyroplanes conducted under visual flight rules by day and by night.
Furthermore, they will support the competitiveness of the gyroplane manufacturing and training sector in the EU.
