The Easy Access Rules for CS-23 contain the applicable rules on Normal-Category Aeroplanes (CS-23). They include the certification specifications (CS) Amendment 6 and the related acceptable means of compliance (AMC) and guidance material (GM) to CS-23 – Issue 5, displayed in a consolidated, easy-to-read format with advanced navigation features through links and bookmarks.
The Amendment 6 (AMC/GM Issue 5) from May 2026 includes the ED Decision ED Decision 2026/003/R with the objective to ensure that the AMC and GM to CS-23 reflect the latest technological developments and certification practices for normal category aeroplanes and improve harmonisation with the FAA.
The Easy Access Rules for the latest Amendment and Issue are available for free download from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) website:
- in PDF format;
- as an enhanced online publication with:
- optimised performance for quick and seamless navigation,
- a pair of permalinks for each rule article pointing to the latest version of the article and to the article version under the displayed amendment,
- improved filters and search functions; and
- in XML (machine-readable format) that can be easily processed by and synchronised with local applications, search databases, etc.
As the Easy Access Rules are generated through the eRules platform, they will be updated regularly to incorporate further changes and evolutions to their content.
