EASA Certification Platform

The EASA Certification Platform is EASA’s new digital solution for managing Initial Airworthiness projects and will soon replace the legacy SEPIAC system.

The Platform enhances the digitalisation of certification processes through the use of structured data, workflow automation, task management, and integrated commenting capabilities. It promotes greater standardisation, transparency, and predictability in the way EASA and Applicants work together.

The Platform is built on EASA Digital Core technologies, providing a secure, scalable, and resilient environment with robust cybersecurity and data protection measures.

The platform is available to employees of Applicant organisations, EASA staff, and National Aviation Authority (NAA) staff members acting on behalf of EASA.

Existing active SEPIAC users will be migrated by EASA and will receive an email notification with instructions for activating their accounts. New users will be managed through EASA Connect, EASA’s central Identity Governance and Access Management (IGA) system, where they can create an account and request access to the platform.

The EASA Certification Platform will go live soon.

Planned evolution

The Certification Platform will continue to evolve beyond its initial release as part of EASA’s broader digitalisation strategy.

Future releases will introduce additional capabilities, including Master and Project CRI management, support for all Initial Airworthiness application types, Certification Support workflows for Validation projects, Digital Certificates, and enhanced reporting and dashboard functionalities.

Further major enhancements are planned to expand the scope of digitalisation and collaboration across the certification ecosystem. These include advanced project management capabilities, machine-to-machine integration, and support for Continuing Airworthiness (CAW) processes, enabling greater automation, data exchange, and end-to-end process digitalisation.

What happens to SEPIAC?

EASA will migrate all ongoing Initial Airworthiness (IAW) projects to the Certification Platform. Following the transition, SEPIAC will be closed for external access on 14 July 2026, and all new IAW projects will be created and managed exclusively within the Certification Platform.

SEPIAC sites not related to Initial Airworthiness projects will be migrated to Team Spaces with appropriate external access controls, ensuring continued collaboration and access for authorised users.

Access is restricted to employees of organisations with Initial Airworthiness (IAW) applications managed in the platform.

If you are an employee of such an organisation and require access to the Certification Platform, please contact your organisation’s designated administrator.
