How to apply
Please submit your application via the EASA Portal. You will find information on how to register to become a user on the EASA Portal Registration website.
Additional documents
If this is your first application to EASA and you do not have an EASA applicant account, you will need to submit a copy of articles of incorporation of the entity or business registration stating the company name, business registration number and legal seat of the company.
In case the applicant is not a company but a natural person, a copy of the person’s ID or passport needs to be provided.
Documents can be uploaded using the EASA file box.
Specific technical documents shall be provided directly to the person responsible for investigating your application. The individual contact details will be communicated to you upon EASA application acceptance.
The exchange and review of documents may also be conducted using SEPIAC – contact sepiac-support [at] easa.europa.eu (sepiac-support[at]easa[dot]europa[dot]eu) or your PCM to understand whether your project can be managed using SEPIAC and request the access to the tool.
Applications from BASA Partners
EASA will wait for the authority forwarding letter prior to registering the application. A copy of the Certifying Authority (CA) STC to be validated is required together with the application form.

Good to know
Application effectiveness: The effectiveness of your application is limited to five (5) years for large aeroplanes and large rotorcraft and to three (3) years for any other product. In case the type certificate is not issued within the time limit of five or three years, you may file for an extension of your application by submitting an informal email request to the Certificate Delivery Team. Alternatively a new application can be submitted.
Fees and Charges: In accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2153, the Agency levies fees and charges for all its certification and approvals activities. The applicable table for Supplemental Type Certificate applications is Table 2 and the fee will be valid for a period of twelve (12) months. For the period after the first 12 months, the fee shall be 1/365th of the relevant annual fee per day.
Amendment to supplemental type certificates: Please use the EASA Portal for Major Change to STC and Minor Change to STC.
