EASA at AERO Friedrichshafen 2024

AERO, the world’s leading trade show for General Aviation (GA), is approaching and promises to be an exciting event. This year, AERO celebrates its 30th anniversary from 17 to 20 April 2024 in Friedrichshafen, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will again actively contribute to this unique show. 

Here are EASA's activities at AERO:

1. EASA will be present at its stand A5-300 

Come and visit our EASA stand at AERO 2024 Friedrichshafen in Hall A5 at stand A5-300 from Wednesday, 17 April to Friday, 19 April (09:00-18:00) and on Saturday, 20 April (09:00-17:00). You will have the possibility to meet several EASA experts ready to answer your questions.

2. GA Sustainability Conference on Wednesday, 17 April (15:30-17:30) — AERO Conference Stage Foyer East 

Sustainability will be the key theme, and EASA will contribute by organising the GA Sustainability Conference on Wednesday, 17 April (15:30-17:30) in the Conference Stage Foyer East. Free to attend, everyone welcome!

3. Part 21 light Q&A sessions on Wednesday, 17 April (10:00-11:00) and Thursday, 18 April (14:00-15:00) — Conference Center East, upper floor, Room Moscow

EASA will hold 2 sessions to answer questions about the Part 21 Light concept.

These sessions are aimed at manufacturers of aeroplanes, sailplanes, rotorcraft and balloons primarily used for sports and recreational purposes, who are interested in using Part 21 Light.

Registration: 

Due to limited capacity of the meeting room, registration to the Part 21 light Q&A session is required.

To register to one of the Part 21 light Q&A session, choose the session you want to attend and proceed with the registration as per the steps listed in the online form.

4. iConspicuity sessions on Wednesday, 17 April (11:30-12:15 – English and 12:15-13:00 – German), Friday (12:30-13:30 – English), Saturday (11:30-12:15 – English and 12:15-13:00 German).

Learn more about the introduction of ADS-L for the entire GA community to enable electronic visibility of all aircraft, from hang gliders, sailplanes and helicopters to aeroplanes, so that all airspace users can share one airspace safely. This workshop is in partnership with EASA’s research partners under the EU Horizon Europe Research Project. 

5. AERO Career Days & EASA

The AERO Career Days will take place on 19-20 April as part of AERO Friedrichshafen 2024. Come and learn more about exciting careers in aviation at EASA and many other organisations across Europe. EASA will present on 19 April from 15:00 to 16:00.
