Description
About the event
Announcing the inaugural World Overflight Risk Conference (WORC) 2024, presented by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Osprey Flight Solutions, and the University of Southampton. The event, which is supported by the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland, aims to unite the global aviation community, providing a platform to collectively address and navigate the dynamic challenges posed by overflight risk.
Why attend?
This educational and non-political event is specifically tailored to aviation organisations, operators, regulators, and insurers — essential stakeholders in advancing our collective understanding of, and strategic approach to, overflight risks. Being the first of its kind to guarantee participation and representation across all sectors at the organisational level, this event ensures a comprehensive and inclusive consideration of all perspectives and factors.
By the end of WORC 2024, participants will have had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills around overflight-risk-related processes and gaps, and current industry initiatives, as well as gain specific tools to improve their risk assessments and enable proactive decision-making.
Non-profit orientation
As we commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the tragic downing of Flight MH17, this conference takes on added significance. To demonstrate our commitment to the global aviation community, the conference will be non-profit, with all profits directed towards the victims’ associations of Flights MH17 and PS752.
