EASA’s International presence
International Cooperation is EASA’s gateway to the world outside the European Union and its Member States. Over the years we have established a global network of partners. The need for aviation safety and environmental protection doesn’t stop at national borders or continental boundaries. This is why International Cooperation is an indispensable activity for a leading civil aviation regulator like EASA to fulfil its legal mandate and to increase its influence worldwide.
The Agency promotes a regional approach to international cooperation which recognises that countries within the same region often face similar challenges. By engaging regionally, we make our support activity more targeted and efficient.
In addition to its permanent offices in Europe, EASA has international offices in Washington (USA), Beijing (China), Montréal (Canada) Singapore and Panama City (Panama) to:
- further strengthen cooperation with regional authorities and local industry;
- support the implementation of EU aviation safety agreements;
- facilitate safety information and data exchange;
- support EU industry, in particular when European products are being certified by the local authorities.
Meet our representatives
EASA’s representatives are the face of the Agency in the regions and states where they are based. Effective communication is one of their most important skillsets, which means having the ability to listen, watch, report and talk when necessary. They play a crucial role in representing Europe's aviation safety priorities at conferences, workshops, and high level meetings worldwide.

Our representatives actively cover many important developments around the world. Countless missions from Cologne would simply be too costly, or not justified for other reasons. This way we can collect valuable information on important trends, and show the face (and flag) of the Agency hand in hand with the European Commission and Industry. Thanks to this commitment, EASA has become a globally recognized center of excellence.
