The EU Ground Handling safety Regulations are effective since March 2025 and will become applicable as of 27 March 2028.
Between 2025 and 2028, EASA organises a series of webinars aimed at helping the European industry to prepare for the implementation of the new safety rules on ground handling.
What will be discussed:
Enabling the voluntary use of industry standards through the EU Ground Handling Regulations
- Regulator perspective: A formal process led by EASA, involving the Member States, to evaluate the industry standards against Regulation (EU) 2025/20
- Competent Authority perspective on the use of industry standards
- Ground Handling Organisations’ perspective on the use of industry standards

Target audience:
- Safety, compliance, and operational managers and auditors of ground handling organisations operating at EASA Aerodromes, aircraft operators and aerodrome operators in the scope of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139
- Inspectors of Competent Authorities of EASA Member States.
