Description
The aim is to discuss with the aviation community the implementation of the recommendations made in July by the Task-Force convened by EU Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc, on the accident of Germanwings Flight 9525.
The Task Force, led by the European Aviation Safety Agency, assessed the adequacy of European air safety and security rules and issued six recommendations, centered around the medical fitness of air crews. In response, EASA put together an Action Plan, combining the use of existing regulatory materials with innovative solutions, in order to timely implement the recommendations. Concrete actions will be launched in the areas of air operations, aircrew, Information Technology (IT) and data protection.
The workshop will gather leading European and world-wide experts to debate the main challenges of the implementation. You can find on this page (see ‘Downloads’ box on the right side) preliminary concept papers presenting the 6 recommendations included in the Task Force Report.
The preliminary concept papers will be further developed and finalised based on the workshop’s outcomes, and undergo focused consultations among all affected stakeholders. This preliminary version of the papers is intended to set the context and thus facilitate a more focussed discussion during the event.
The registration are closed as of 30/11/2015. Thanks for your interest.
