EASA published ED Decision 2022/007/R with the objective to modernise the European Union (EU) aviation regulatory framework applicable to all-weather operations (AWOs) and flight crew training.
In order to facilitate the implementation of the regulatory amendments for All-Weather Operations, on the certification side, the certification specifications for all-weather operations that were contained in the Initial Issue of CS-AWO needed to be updated.
CS-AWO has been significantly restructured and updated to provide up-to-date certification specifications that reflect current advances in technology whilst also, at the same time, are objective based and will permit future developments and evolution.
