Successful workshop on drones closes in Peru

The joint event organised by EASA (through the EU-LAC APP project) and SRVSOP took place in Lima, Perú on 20 – 22 February 2019, with the participation of some 100 delegates from more than 25 countries from Latin America and Europe.

The workshop had the following objectives: 

  • To provide the participants with the European and Latin American experience on the certification and operation of drones, surveillance and integration into the airspace and new UTM (unmanned aircraft system traffic management) concepts;
  • To share experiences, challenges, and solutions among the participants from aviation authorities, industry and other relevant stakeholders. 

Panellists from EASA, SRVSOP, Spain’s Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA), EUROCONTROL, Civil Aviation Authorities from the region, as well as industry (Airbus, CATEC, Frecuentis, DyM, Indra) shared their views on the above topics.
