Introductory Webinar: Research Project on the Detection of Lithium Batteries using Security Screening Equipment

The webinar is organised to introduce and present the key objectives of the EASA research project “Detection of Lithium Batteries Using Security Screening Equipment”.

This project is funded under the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2021-2022. In that Work Programme, the European Commission has entrusted EASA with the management of six research actions with a budget of EUR 14.2 million.

This project will evaluate the feasibility of detecting lithium batteries transported as checked baggage using hold baggage screening equipment and processes in operation at airports.
