Hi everyone,
I was wondering if someone knows what is the current status of American Champion aircraft in EASA, namely the Bellanca and Champion 8 (EASA.IM.A.297 and 298) - I cannot find their type certificate DS in the EASA list. I understand these were almost revoked in 2018, but American Champion paid the fees and resolved the issue.
On a related note, although it is relatively easy to find aircraft that are capable of delivering UPRT to ATPL students, it is not so easy to find one that at the same time can deliver the UPRT instructor course. There are amazing aircraft out there (unlimited category competition like the Extras, Zlin, etc.) but the tandem arrangement and the flying characteristics make it less than ideal for ATPL students. Does anyone have any suggestions on aerobatic aircraft that have good flying characteristics with side by side sitting?

A lack of awareness, with respect to angle of attack (AOA), has resulted in the loss of aircraft control and contributed to fatal GA accidents. Increasing your awareness of the aerodynamic effects of AOA and available technology will help reduce the likelihood of inadvertent loss of control.
