EASA Summer Safety Campaign 2025 — Safety Culture
Online Event
29/05/2025, 13:15 – 14:45 CET (UTC +2)
Description
No matter how many procedures, regulations, or systems are in place, it is the people across every part of the aviation ecosystem — flight and cabin crew, engineers, air traffic controllers (ATCOs), ground handlers, and many more — who ultimately ensure safe operations.
This 'Safety Culture' discussion offers a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Ireland’s aviation leaders as they reflect on the central role people play in building and sustaining safety. Because people create safety, this must start with strong safety leadership at the top. That leadership fosters a robust reporting culture and helps instil the day-to-day behaviours we want to see — proactive, responsible, and safety-conscious at every level of the organisation.
The conversation at the 'Safety Culture' event will involve:
- Jim Gavin: Irish Aviation Authority Chief Operations Officer;
- Kenny Jacobs: DAA Chief Executive Officer;
- Adrian Dunne: Aer Lingus Chief Operating Officer;
- Keith Butler: Emerald Airlines Chief Executive Officer; and
- Neil Sorohan: Ryanair Chief Operating Officer.
