Thanks a lot for the French-speaking stakeholders.
For them, the title becomes 'Bien Etre'.

Harry Karlsson • 6 years agoIMHO the TAF system is mainly "whitewash" for IFR pilots. You can use it for IFR planning and make pre-tactical decisions for A-B flights and deviation plans in case the weather does not act as has been forecasted. I admit that at some times the TAF can be extremely accurate, but TAF amdts en-route and the accuracy of the TAF:s in general, make them less favorable to VFR pilots. The TAF:s are also geographically quite limited and especially in Finland Time limited. The availability of TAF:s are constrained by airport opening hours, which limits the availability of information for the General aviator. The TAF:s are also dependent of automated weather observations, which are basically only narrow laser beams hundreds of kilometers apart, which will not give You an accurate picture of the cloud ceilings, which is the necessary information for a VFR general aviator.

Flight Training Europe SL • 6 years agoDear Cristina & Jannes,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to this post. I really appreciate the help and support EASA is showing the community.
It is clear then, from EASA's interpretation, that if the AD does not specifically include "my" MODEL (and considering it is not a blanket AD for the type or configuration) then that record is not required to be kept as ALL models are not listed. This, I believe, is the same as using the word MODEL, which would leave less room for interpretation.
What about component TYPE? Could you please clarify on that?
It is indeed true that the requirement was there from Part M, but it was changed with the introduction of Part ML to include the record of "why it is no applicable" (and no need to record superseded ADs).Again, thank you so much for your support and dedication, I hope you are keeping safe and that all the EASA family is in good health.
Kind regards,
Daniel -

Steve Hutt • 6 years agoHi Keith,
I think you know the answer to that already.Extending the trial beyond ADS-B is not in my gift. It is the UK CAA that authorise which technical standards can be used as a basis for officially licensed air traffic services.

Elena Beatriz GARCIA SANCHEZ • 6 years agoDear aerovfr and Nicolino. Thank you for your comments. This post is mainly for reference. Sunny Swift issue 21 on TAFs has just been published, with more information, in the story and in the related content links section. It would be very interesting if you wish to bring this discussion to the TAF Sunny topic:
