The UK CAA has published a new Aeronautical Information Circular providing updated information regarding ADS-B Out for the UK GA fleet.
The AIC addresses both ADS-B Out via Mode S Extended Squitter transponders and ADS-B Out via portable ADS-B transceivers, including the long-awaited approval of the use of a portable ADS-B transceiver in an aircraft with a transponder which does not have ADS-B Out enabled.

During the flight, the recent BEA accident report 2018-0276 (https://www.bea.aero/uploads/tx_elydbrapports/BEA2018-0276.pdf)
shows that pilots' obstinacy in undertaking or continuing a flight in adverse weather conditions is a source of many accidents with often dramatic consequences.
Several accidents show that the risk tends to increase as pilots get closer to their destination.
As the BEA recommends: Faced with adverse weather conditions unfavorable to the continuation of the flight, diversion or even voluntary interruption of the flight generally lead to a positive outcome

Following Airspace4All-NATS Drone Infringement Safeguarding Project, SkyDemon Adds Drone Traffic Icon
https://airspace4all.org/skydemon-adds-drone-traffic-icon/
Following the publication of the report for the Airspace4All-NATS Drone Infringement Safeguarding Project, the popular GA VFR flight planning & navigation software application SkyDemon has added a new traffic icon to represent drones.
This new drone traffic icon will be displayed when traffic is detected via ADS-B which has an ‘Emitter Category’ of ‘UAV’.
SkyDemon’s aural spoken warnings have also been updated to say “drone ahead, 2 miles”, etc.
These changes will come into effect with SkyDemon’s next general release of their software
