A friend received his new EASA pilots licence today, with it came a Note to say that cutting the Licence up to fit in the EASA supplied licence wallet will invalidate the Licence.

This seems completely wrong. As the EASA supplied wallet contains the right amount of pockets for a cut up licence to fit in.

In the early days of EASA a large number of pilots on receiving there new EASA issued Pilots Licences cut them up so as to fit in the the Wallet. Unaware that they would be invalidating their pilots licence..

And it seems like there are still a number of pilots flying with their Licences cut in this way to fit in the Wallet.

Therefore i am asking for EASA to make an AMC for Pilots Licences to be VALID even when cut to fil  in the wallets pockets.
