I started to fly when I was 15, but I was dreaming to fly a long time before... I did a large part of my career in the GA business, working for companies like Avions Mudry & Cie. I have been flight instructor, test pilot, aerobatic champion, and I joined EASA in 2005.

I ended up leaded the DOA (Design Organisation Approval) Department, and since 2016, the GA (General Aviation Department).

I am also the champion leading GA Roadmap Project since 2014, leading a team of GA passionate people trying to improve the situation of GA in Europe.

You are all kindly invited to use this post to introduce yourself!

¡Hola!
I started to fly more than 35 years ago, from the hand of my father, with whom I share my hobby for aviation. Thanks to him I discovered what my life was going to be.
Flight instructor since 1992 and air examiner since 2000, I practice my profession, not without difficulties, in Santander, a beautiful airport in the north of Spain.
I am very aware of the responsibility of teaching, especially in the first steps of my students and I am extremely sensitive to all aspects related to safety. In addition to applying the technical and procedural aspects in teaching, I try to understand the functioning of the human mind and how to work with it during the training process to avoid future accidents.
And nothing more... As summary to say that, to fly is my passion and to teach my vocation. :)))

I was very lucky that my father was a keen balloonist from an early age. I took my first flight when I was 8 years old and have been in love with aviation ever since.

I joined the RAF when I was 17 as a maintenance technician. I spent over 20 years in the service later as a maintenance officer and for the last 10 years leading safety programmes, managing the occurrence reporting and analysis process as well as being the primary HF instructor for the UK military.

Since 2011, I have been at EASA working in Safety Analysis and more recently as the Section Manager for Safety Analysis and Performance. Here in our team we are passionate about helping the whole GA community learn from the experiences of others and stay safe.

Hello,
I discovered aviation as a teenager with PC flight simulators. Through the Internet I met other sim enthusiasts and thanks to that group I got to know more of the aviation world, experiencing my first GA flights.

I got a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering in the USA (Embry-Riddle) and have since worked in helicopter maintenance and as an aerospace consultant for the defense sector.

In 2009 I finally managed to have time and money to get my Spanish ULM license and have been actively flying since. I have also been involved in RPAS training here in southwest Spain.

I had little contact with aviation before my teenage years and was lucky to find the right people to promote that interest. I feel that even today people view aviation as a distant and elitist sector, at least here in Spain. For this reason I am working on ways to promote aviation amongst a more general public to change this image. I believe a strong and involved community can help in generating a greater interest and attracting new people, thus I look forward to sharing experiences and learning from this initiative.

My basic interest is GA - Certification, OPS, Personnel licensing, Maintenance and related topics.
Looking forward to learning something new.

Hello,
well I am from older generation as well. I started in aero-club in 1979 flying famous Zlin Trainer and L-13 Blanik glider, then following fighter pilot career, ATC job and management for military including flight instructor job till the end of 2003, in the meantime as member of EUROCONTROL team for a few years as well. I finished professional flight service at the end of 2003. Since 2004 I am working as ATC expert, flight training and simulator training expert in different projects for different countries including SESAR projects.
My interest is sort of payback for GA through all experience I gained for years and support positive development GA in Europe. I am flying a lot now just because I can.
I am trying to make positive influence on my two sons - pilots flying as well, daughters interest is still pending due to school duty. So really strong motivation as you can see.

I started flying as a student at the age of 17 flying gliders and motorgliders. PPl, IR Seaplane and Multiengine FI and FE followed, flew the Misubishi MU-2 for 3500 hrs, LR25/35 and some larger jets as a copilot. Logged just above 14.000 hrs. As an aerospace Engineer I am holding several STCs including the RF8001 ski STC on the Husky. Flying in the mountains is my passion. MOU, MI and MOU-FE. Started a DTO for MOU Training near Stuttgart and Bolzano. since June the EMP (European Mountain Pilots Assosiacion) appointed me as their representative at EASA. I am glad to have parteners at EASA like Dominique and his crew.

Dear colleagues,
My aeronautical background began thanks to my dad long time ago. He was C130 pilot in the Spanish AF and then he jumped into airlines. Following him as an inspiration, I’m an aviation passionate and I decided to join the AF Academy in 2008. My flight training started in 2010 (T35C, C101, F5, H120 and S76) finishing it in 2013. Up to now, I have been involved in flight instruction in both helicopters and planes (my case is strange I know). Apart from the military, I also fly GA for pleasure since long time ago which has allowed me to meet great people and share amazing flight experiences. Moreover, I’ve begun taking steps ahead getting my brand new FI restricted which I hope to use it for many years. In addition to this experience, to say that I was very lucky for being part of SESAR PJ7 in TBOs the part related to operational Flight Plan in 2017. Such experience gave me a thorough knowledge of what’s going on today in the European Skies in terms of ATM. Looking forward to learning from you all!
