Getting Your Aircraft Ready

The first step in getting ready for the season is to make sure that your aircraft is ready to fly. Thomas Hytten from CAA Norway has some great tips to help so check out the video below. 

This advice is not intended to replace any formal maintenance action that you should take after not flying for an extended period of time. If in doubt always ask your maintenance organisation.

Great video!
However, I wouldn't recommend anyone, not even an experienced pilot, to fly an aircraft after a large period of inactivity just by performing these checks. The aircraft needs to either be preserved (great article in this community on that subject) or have had calendar maintenance performed (typically every 30 days).
Furthermore, a proper MCF profile would be necessary for Tip 5 - this can only be developed by a CA(M)O or P145.
After a proper maintenance check for stored/inactive aircraft, and solely as a double-check, I do find the info provided extremely interesting and useful.
