Friday night fights is back -- at least for one evening in May. The Ring magazine presents a unique fight card on Friday from Times Square in New York featuring three of the top young American stars in the sport today in separate bouts. The card is headlined by Ryan Garcia taking on former junior welterweight titleholder Rolando "Rolly" Romero. Meanwhile, the co-main event sees Devin Haney make his return after a lengthy layoff against another former titleholder in Jose Ramirez. And a title fight kicks off the action when Teofimo Lopez Jr. looks to defend his WBO junior welterweight title against Arnold Barboza Jr.

The fight between Ryan Garcia and Rolando β€œRolly” Romero is one of the most anticipated boxing events of the year. Both fighters are known for their explosive fighting styles, and fans are eager to see who will emerge victorious. Whether you’re a die-hard boxing fan or just tuning in for the excitement, there are plenty of ways to stream this highly anticipated showdown. Here’s a guide to all the ways you can catch the action live.

The action is expected to produce a rematch of Garcia and Haney after the two battled it out in one of the most bizarre builds to a fight in recent memory with Garcia seeming to go off the deep end with mental-health struggles and substance abuse. Garcia then turned in arguably the best performance of his career in knocking down Haney multiple times en route to a decision win that was later overturned for a failed drug test.

Garcia dropped Haney three times en route to a majority decision win, however the match was later declared a no contest after Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in a pre-fight drug test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.

Garcia takes on Rolando "Rolly" Romero in the night's main event for the WBA (regular) welterweight title.

Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) lost his WBA super lightweight title to Isaac Cruz in March 2024 but rebounded with a 10-round decision win over Manuel Jaimes in September.

Uncrowned has Ryan Garcia vs. Rolando "Rolly" Romero live results, round-by-round updates, highlights, ring walks and start time for the Garcia vs. Romero fight card on Friday night at the iconic Times Square in New York. Three of boxing's top young stars β€” Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez β€” feature on the remarkably unique and blockbuster bill.

Neither Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) nor Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) have fought since their April 2024 bout, which means both will end year-long layoffs on Friday.

Garcia dropped Haney three times en route to a majority decision win, however the match was later declared a no contest after Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in a pre-fight drug test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.

Garcia wants this bad. The 26-year-old has now served the 12-month ban he received for testing positive for banned supplement Ostarine after his last fight, a victory over Haney that was ruled a no-contest as a result. King Ry, who denies intentionally doping, had missed weight ahead of that super lightweight title bout β€” so all eyes will be on how he tips the scales in his return to the ring. Known for his quick hands and underrated power, his only career loss came against Gervonta Davis.

'Rolly' Romero is no slouch, though. The 29-year-old is a former super lightweight world champion, who counts defeats only to Davis and Isaac Cruz on his resume. The Las Vegas native responded with a unanimous points win against Manuel Jaimes last September and must get on the inside and use his power shots to make life difficult for Garcia.

Haney, in spiky form at the pre-fight press conferences, is on an impressive undercard at Times Square in the heart of New York City, along with Teofimo Lopez, who defends his WBO super lightweight world title.

There was plenty of goading at the pre-fight press conferences earlier this week – but not between the fighters involved in the main event. β€œHis voice changed back. Your physique changed. Those muscles gone, your voice is gone,” said Devin Haney, boxing on the undercard, to Ryan Garcia in reference to the latter’s drugs ban.

Haney faces Jose Ramirez in a 144-pound catchweight bout.

Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs), a former unified super lightweight champion, enters the fight on the back of a competitive decision loss to Arnold Barboza Jr. on November's Gilberto Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith undercard in Riyadh.

Opening the triple-header, Lopez puts his WBO super lightweight title up for grabs against the interim champion, Barboza Jr.

Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) had a routine 2024, successfully defending his WBO championship against Jamaine Ortiz and Steve Claggett.

Barboza (32-0, 11 KOs) edged Jack Catterall by a split decision to win the WBO interim title and become Lopez's mandatory in February.

Garcia vs. Romero begins at 5 p.m. ET on DAZN pay-per-view, with main event ring walks expected at 8 p.m. ET.
