Henrik Vaeroe commented on Davide Baroffio's topic in Air Operations
Henrik Vaeroe • 3 years agoI think that is a very good question, as the approach may be continued as long as RVR is at least 550 m. The closest thing to an answer to your question that I can find, is GM1(d) NCO.OP.210:
"If the RVR is less than the RVR calculated in accordance with AMC3 NCO.OP.110, a go-around is likely to be necessary since visual reference may not be established at the DH, or at the MDH at a point where a stable approach to landing in the TDZ remains possible. ... The pilot-in-command should consider available options, based on a thorough assessment of risk, such as diverting to an alternate, before commencing the approach." -

Keld Larsen commented on Mert Gumus's topic in Air Operations
Keld Larsen • 3 years agoIn my opinion: The original logical purpose of fuel ERA is to have somewhere to land, if you have used 5% contingency but are only carrying 3%. Therefore it must be located before the destination. Using DEST as fuel ERA is contrary to the intentions of the rule.
