5 years ago PublicGreetings from California, USA. I am a retired helicopter pilot/watch commander/flight instructor with the Los Angeles Police Department. The LAPD operated a fleet of 17 helicopters, AS350B2's and Bell 206 Jet Rangers providing support to law enforcement in Los Angeles. In a typical year we flew 15,000-17,000 hours since we flew 24 hours every day.
I now fly part time as a corporate pilot flying the EC135, Bell 407, Bell 206, OH58, and Bell 47 piston copters. I have a background in aviation safety matters and have graduated from the US Navy Aviation Safety Officer Course in Pensacola, Florida. I look forward to discussions with others interested in helicopters -
