Part MED won't tell you who needs what type of medical. It will just tell you what the criteria are for medical fitness for each type of medical, for example it won't tell you which pilots need a class 1 and which ones need a class 2. The link I provided is the only document I am aware of which specifically describes medical requirements for hoist operators. Maybe wait to see if anyone else is aware of any other information.

"The aviation system is stretched" That's quite an understatement especially in the training environment.
As FI's leave to join the airlines, the industry is robbed of its pilot generating capacity.
If an FI is training on average 3.5 students, the loss of 100 FI's to airlines equates to 3.500 pilot reduction in capacity downstream.
The FI pool, is now a small pond rapidly diminishing.

Is there any EASA rule that obliges flight schools to mandatory use a simulator (if available) in courses or typeratings?
Do you know if it is mandatory to use a simulator if it is somewhere in the EU? Might be a big distance. What does available and accessible mean in this case?

Hello all,
Concerning table 4 of AMC9 CAT.OP.MPA.182
In row 4 it is mentionned an approach based on a separate navigation aid. Is it correct that an RNP approach is also considered as an approach based on a navigation aid?
Thank you
Thank you for the confirmation. This is indeed the same definition as in GM33 of the EASA Air Ops manual.
