Good morning everyone,
could you please clarify the requirement for LVP at airports for LVTO in the RVR range of 550m - 400m:
According to this manual LVPs are required at the airport (ref. top of page 17).
According e.g. AMC2 SPA.LVO.105(c)(b)(7) LVPs are only required for LVTO with RVR <400m.
Thank you.

Hello,
recently got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and came to sad conclusion that across almost all of the Europe i can't fly no more, even privately.
Could someone explain how is it possible in 2022? We currently have widely available CGMs and Insulin pumps. We are not existing in stone age anymore. I can say with most certainty that at my 23 years old, i am more healthy than 70% of pilots, but due to outdated regulation i can't fly, which is a HUGE disappointment.

The EASA Annual Safety Review (ASR) was just published on the EASA Website. We made a quick summary video of the General Aviation part to let you know all the most important headlines.
Apologies, we said 60 seconds but it's more like 3 minutes.

Hello all,
Can someone tell me where in the EASA regulations states that a pilot with a CPL license with FI rating can give instruction up to PPL level only with a medical license class 2?
Assuming that the class 1 is either expired or has limitations.
Not sure if this is possible, however I believe the CPL includes PPL priviliges.
Thank you.
Correct, Lars-Henrik!!

Hello everyone,
We are struggling with the new text of AMC1 ORO.FC.105(b)(2);(c)
which stipulates the requirements of aerodrome classification category A.
In bullet (B) it states a condition of the presence of "at least one runway with no performance-limited procedure for take-off and/or landing, such as no requirement to follow a contingency procedure for obstacle clearance in the event of an engine failure on take-off from any runway expected to be used for departure"
How do we need to interpret this? The second part of the sentence seems to contradict the first part of this sentence. If this means that the presence of an EOSID on any runway precludes category A, most aerodromes will fall in category B. Is this assumption correct? How do you interpreted this regulation?

New Helicopter Podcast series: Push to Talk with Bruce Webb
Episode 1: Better Than Digging Foxholes (w/ Tim Tucker) - 59 min
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/push-to-talk-with-bruce-webb-a-he…
Since 1982, Tim Tucker has served as Chief Instructor at Robinson Helicopter. We’ll learn about Tim’s roots in aviation, defined by his stint in the Vietnam war. He’ll give us insight into his time at Robinson, and expand on a design principle unique to Robinson helicopters. And if we listen closely, some of Tim’s humble wisdom might stick with us, to be applied when we need it most.
Includes Tim Tucker's IIMC experiences and how he could save the day.
Highly recommended!

A pilot who holds a Part-FCL licence which was issued before the UK left EASA other than by the UK may NOT fly a G-reg aircraft after 31 Dec 2022 unless they also hold a UK-issued Part-FCL licence.
If the non-UK Part-FCL licence was issued after the UK left EASA, the pilot may NOT fly a G-reg aircraft unless they obtain a UK validation or licence conversion.
I apologise for the stupidity of the UK having left EASA!

Hello everyone.
I am a pilot student in some trouble.
Fellow student as well as myself are in a tough situation.
Our School may go bankrupt and we are scared for our licences.
We are integrated student, we all have The theory ATPL and we are wondering if we could loose it in case of a school closure.
If any body can answers me or refer me to a person that could it will be much appreciated.
thank you.
Hello Theo,
Our flight school has recently been approached by several student pilots with the same concern.
You can continu your flight training with us without any delay in your planned schedule. Your certificates and hours flown can be transferred to us provided your student file is available.
In any case; good luck in finding a solution for this terrible situation!
