To student, private and commercial pilots on behalf of Joakim Strom at Pocketzim. This is a short anonymous survey about pilot training apps and it’s relevance or posssible lack thereof.  Trying to remember all the “need to know” contents in company manuals before simulator testing is difficult. The amount of information is extensive, complex, and often without intuitive presentation. This might lead to ineffective learning and less than desired motivation for homework. This is where we want to help. The Pocketzim Team will develop an optimal E-learning "non-normal" training app for pilots, on your mobile or tablet. 3D animation, cartoonification and interaction intend to make all your study sessions engaging.   Contents will include;

  • BIG PICTURE. An innovative mind map and memory bank.
  • PLAY BALL. Select a procedure, watch or do it yourself. Your performance is stored in a private list.
  • TOPDOG. Random missions will put, you to the test, and your score in open lists.
  • SCOREBOARD. Private and open(anonymous) feedback lists for guidance and inspiration.

Together with our partners, the Europeen research organization, SINTEF and technology firm, Forte Digital we are planning a Minimum Viable Product, to see the light on App Store and Google Play, mid 2023. The first version will be for the Airbus A320 with the help of SAS Crew Training. Airbus 330/350, Boeing 737/787 and other popular commercial aircrafts will follow shortly thereafter. All versions can be adjusted to match a specific company fingerprint. A solution for pilots in general aviation, flight training and helicopters are on the drawing board. We hope you will set aside a few minutes of your time to give us valuable feedback!  Link to survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pocketzim Joakim Strøm Founder and CEO Pocketzim AS See more at pocketzim.com»
