Part-IS Workshop in Malta
On 9–10 September, EASA participated in a two-day Part-IS workshop organised by the Civil Aviation Directorate of Malta.

The interactive event brought together more than 120 participants from the Maltese aviation industry, mainly representatives of air operators and maintenance organisations. The workshop presented key elements of Part-IS and explored common implementation challenges and practical solutions identified so far, with dedicated opportunities for questions and discussion.

EASA was represented by Davide Martini, Senior Expert in Cybersecurity in Aviation, and Vasileios Papageorgiou, Cybersecurity in Aviation Expert. The sessions covered topics including personnel requirements, risk assessment and treatment, supply-chain security, incident management and reporting, the interplay between Part-IS, NIS2 and aviation security requirements as well as an exchange with the Maltese authority regarding the Part-IS oversight approach.

Many thanks to the Civil Aviation Directorate of Malta for organising and hosting the workshop, and to all participants for their active engagement and valuable contributions!
