Part-IS discussed with Singapore Industry
On 17 July EASA invited aviation stakeholders to take part in an open forum focused on upcoming regulatory changes and EASA’s broader direction in safety and innovation.
With insight from EASA’s Executive Director, the session provided practical information on:
- New Safety Management System (SMS) requirements under Part 145
- The cybersecurity framework being introduced under Part IS
- EASA’s developing approach to Artificial Intelligence in aviation
- EASA’s work across the Asia-Pacific region
The aim was to support clearer understanding, open discussion, and effective planning in response to aviation’s evolving landscape.
Among the topics discussed, Part-IS, which is applicable to all EASA approved organisations, also outside Europe.

Gian Andrea Bandieri, Section Manager - Cybersecurity in Aviation and Conflict Zones
